Sometime after Mother's day I went with Avery and his Kindergarten class on their field trip to the Dinosaur Park. We were lucky enough to have his best friend Shane in our group. I love watching these 2 interact with each other and hope they can continue to be friends throughout their lives.

We also had Jayden in our group and we were lucky because he would bring out the dinosaur in Avery!
This year on the 4th of July was just like every other year for us. In the morning we headed to Grandpa Cookie's house to watch the parade. Once the parade was over we had our picnic lunch in his back yard with Adam's family and then headed up to Ogden for a night full of bounce houses for the kids, demo derby, and fireworks.
So my big boys decided they needed to keep growing up no matter how much I protest that fact of life. Aiden is starting 3rd grade this year and Avery is starting 1st grade. I love getting them up in the morning and taking them school, this is something I wish I could do every day but with my work schedule that is not an option so I will just make sure it happens here and there throughout the school year. This was the first year I had to beg Aiden some to take his picture before we left (I think he was starting to get worried about being late).
Avery of course never fights me to get a picture of him and is always trying to get in the picture no matter what it is, I just can't point that out to him!
During the summer I signed the kids up for a summer program called Kids Bowl Free. I have done this a few times and the boys love it. This year they offered a family pass for $25.00 for 4 adults that we could go in every day with the kids and bowl 2 games with them. When I bowled nationals in Reno this year I found cheap bowling shoes for the boys so it added up to cheap family nights for us and the more we went the less it ended up costing us a night!
